After visiting the Transportaion Museum and a light lunch, we decided to explore a stretch of Old Route 66 to see how much of the historic byway was still evident.
We picked up the two lane road at the place where the Diamond's Restaurant used to stand and headed West until the road threaded its way into St. Claire, Missouri.

I started out with my Pentax K10D digital SLR with 18-55 mm lens and switched to my pocket sized Olympus Stylus 1010 when I got to St. Claire.

Everything was hand held with available light.
