Meramec River with Canon Rebel and m42 Lenses

I purchased this nifty little adapter to allow use of old style m42 screwmount lenses with Canon autofocus bodies. This opens the possibility of using countless vintage lenses with newer Canon bodies. Focus reverts to manual only. Metered exposures can be made in Aperture Priority mode.

For a test I loaded a 35mm Canon EOS Rebel body with an out of date roll of Kodak 200 film.
Two lenses were used: a Ricoh f:1.4/55mm, and a Sears 90 - 230mm zoom.
Location was MinnieHaHa Park in Sunset Hills on the Meramec River.

With a prolonged drought, the river was probably as low as I have ever seen it. Water flow was mostly due to reliable springs some 200 miles upriver.

The old partially spoiled film had a few color issues. The Ricoh 55mm lens seemed to perform fairly well. The Sears Tele Zoom lacks an Auto/Manual stopdown switch, and could only be tested with aperture wide open, at which position it was a bit disappointing in results, per last couple of images seen here.
Foliage down in the river valley has not changed much yet for Fall color.
