Holiday Sights with Argus Matchmatic

After a long spell of gloomy cloudy days the sunshine showed itself.
So I loaded a roll of Fuji 200 into Argus Matchmatic S/N 1822185475 and headed out looking for Christmas.
I found a bit of it at the shops of downtown Webster Groves and Kirkwood.

The Argus Matchmatic was the Argus Camera Company's final evolved form of the C / C2 / C3 line of Brick cameras. Production of all American made Argus cameras ended shortly afterwards circa 1967.
The Matchmatic was marketed with a matching exposure meter that clipped into the accessory shoe on top. Camera and meter used a unique set of numerical values for aperture and shutter speed, in a code that was intended to allow the user quick dial-in of exposure settings.
This particular Matchmatic no longer has its meter (most of those meters no long work properly anyway due to age), but the code is easily "broken" to allow a photographer to set the dials to proper values.
In this series, I partly consulted the readings of a Gossen Pilot hand held meter.
Images are all hand held and with available light.

Camera came to me in fair cosmetic condition but with a number of serious mechanical problems. I worked through these and ended up with a decent image maker.
