Leica Elmar 9cm

I dug out my prewar blackened brass Elmar 9cm / f:4 and wanted to see if it is still viable. Easiest way without the uncertainties of film was to build an adapter from a Pentax body cap and a Zorkii body mount and try the lens digitally. Film plane distance is so diferent between a Pentax SLR and a Leica RF that the rig only works as a Macro, and at a distance of 20 inches or so (I forgot to measure)..
I caught some images around the house today. Did some stills of a clarinet close up, and found it very interesting when I stopped it all the way down, I ran into some sort of reciprocity failure with extra dark exposures. But moderate stop down yielded what I thought were surprisingly good images for uncoated glass so old and a bit of fogging between elements.
