Argus Cintar Digital at Transportation Museum

This is a recent aquisition.
I was getting frustrated by trying to use older digital cameras with contemporary computer operating systems, and chasing down drivers was often a dead end.
So I bought this one, since it actually uses removable SD memory cards. It will not handle any more than a 64 mb capacity card, but that does allow for up to about 60 images at 2 mega pixel resolution.

Today I took it for a test drive at the Museum of Transportation. Weather was absolutely gorgeous for the final day of Summer 2014, and I was noticing a bit of Fall color already showing in the trees here and there.

How did it perform?
Camera uses 4 ordinary AA batteries, and it seems to be reasonable in its power usage, the batteries holding up well in use.
It was a little slow to write each capture to the card, but a little patience was all that was needed.
Color was just a little strange, but I think typical for older digital image sensors.
Images seemed just a bit soft on landscape type subjects. I think this camera's best assets might be found in its closeup capacities. The macro mode allows one to move in to within 7 inches from the subject.
