Argus C33 at Christmas Time

The Argus C33 was the Ultimate "Brick" camera from Ann Arbor. It was designed as a well-featured, system camera, with several interchangable lenses, and a clip-on coupled exposure meter. Production was from 1959 to 1961.
The C33, however, never caught on, and today is a little-known model, and seldom seen.

During this past week and a half, I ran two rolls of Kodak 200 print film through this camera.
Frankly, I was quite pleased wth the way the C33 performed! I like this camera, I like the way it handles, I like the crisp results from its 50mm lens.

I've done paintings of some of those same scenes at the MBG. This past September, I did a plein air pastel of the fountain in the Ottoman garden. Have you seen that yet? It's the newest addition to the MBG. J Roussin

Great photos, Ed! I need to get back into my C33. All of mine seem to have a winding problem.

And I thought that the C33 was not that good.... of course, it helps that you are taking the pictures, but I think that I am going to see if my C33 is functional. I am inspired. Thank you Ed!!!

Your C-33 is a right smart performer. Crisp colors. Really like the views of the flowing brook. Great work Ed.
