The Argosy 3 is a Project with One Camera, and over 50 Photographers worldwide.
A single camera, an Argus C-4 35mm rangefinder model, is being mailed from person to person in a chain that has already encircled the globe.
Currently the camera is in my custody, and I am at about the half way point of its Trek.
For more details, take a look at:
Images below are from my third, and probably final, roll of film before the camera is shipped off to the next participant.
I met up with James Surprenant of Rhode Island on Saturday August 11, in Springfield, Illinois. James drove down from O’Hare in Chicago in his rental Cadillac. I drove up from home in the St.Louis area in my Chevrolet Malibu.
We had a great visit together, and a enjoyable photo safari.
James is the originator, and the director, of the Argosy camera projects.
James is wearing the red shirt.
And I thank him for shooting the image of myself rubbing Lincoln’s nose.
Sunday morning on my way home I discovered this antique mall near Staunton, Illinois.
Then at home I finished off the roll with a few close-ups.
Film was Kodak Gold 200.
I still amaze at your ability to see what we are not able to compose. You are a master.

First time I've seen James outside the greater Martinsville VA metroplex, looks like the midwest suits him. Wonder how many folks have taken the Pledge after seeing the pink elephant?
