Big Bend National Park, Texas

An outing with the Northwest Houston Photo Club (NWHPC).

A dozen of us drove over to Big Bend from Houston, TX on a Friday, spent two full days shooting then returned on Monday. Our 'guide' and mentor Jerry Brown, a professional photographer, had made 15 previous trips to Big Bend and was eager to get us to the right spots at the right time of day so that we at least had a chance to capture a few good images. We were fortunate to see Big Bend near sunrise and sunset and all hours between. As a bonus, we got to see her wet as well as dry as we had light rain from Friday evening through Saturday noon.
