Now known as the "Hydrangea Bed", this contains H.aspera "Macrophylla" and "Sargentiana" as well as H. quercifolia and a new aspera from Gong Shan in China which we bought at Tregrehan. This bed is also home to 3 bamboos including Yushania anceps, Thamnocalamus crassinodus "Kew Beauty" and the one in the picture which was bought as Ph. vivax "McClure" but which has suspiciously small leaves for a vivax!
