Hi Ed, Gigs in Iowa. Thanks for the comments on PBase. I was stationed in Zirndorf with the 1/22 Field Artillery from 1974-77. I still get out some with my fz28, a new gallery is at:http://www.pbase.com/gazeboy96/beaverdale_2015_parade

Ed,
I liked the aviation photos from Malaga. If you like you can share them on www.coolairplanes.net

Hello Ed, I really enjoyed your photos. The castle ones were so wonderful. We don't have anything like that here. I live in Wisconsin in a small town north of Milwaukee. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your photos with us. Robert.

Ed,
Thanks - Ischia's a fascinating and very pretty place.

As I recall, the shots of the Castello came out of a discussion about resizing for PBase. When I've several, I batch resize them in IrfanView with 10-20% sharpening. This is better for some than others, but I agree with you, it's a noticable improvement on the version that I'd individually resized and sharpened. Not sure what that says about my abilities though...

I've got the other one open now - the coastline. We've done that boat ride a few times and there's usually a mix of sea mist and mountain haze that comes out worse in pictures than you remember it as having been. With some help from PSE6, the picture now looks more or less the way I think it should, if a bit austere?

Loved your pictures from Sicily by the way - a real reminder of the nose-tingling gases at Vulcano!
