Blue-spotted Salamander (Ambystoma laterale)

The blue-spotted salamander has the most northerly distribution of any North American salamander species, ranging as far as Labrador. In Michigan, this is an abundant species and perhaps our most beautiful.

Are any of Michigan's salamanders suitable for a Koi water feature environment? Flowing water airated with Koi. Bio filter and stream: could build a habitat adjacent to bio filter calm water. larryboensch@gmail.com

I moved a hens and chicken big pot I had setting on stones by my house. There it was -- I ran and got my camera and took pictures of it. I wasn't sure what it was.
I live in the middle of Michigan.
