Blooms one midsummer night each year. This gallery follows a single plant with five blooms from about 8 pm until 10 pm on 8/23/04. Later tonight the blooms will close and that'll be the end of them until next year.

This is the first time that I've use the flash except to see if it worked (in over 6000 D70 shots since May '04). I need to get the manual out & do a little reading.
