7/7/08 - Coneflower

I originally uploaded an in-camera montage of this composition - http://www.pbase.com/image/99816438 - and decided that the single image version was better. So - here we have the single image version. There's something to be said for simplicity. I'll repeat my "composition comments" that apply to both versions.
The amount of "tripod fiddling" was considerable - in order to properly frame the image (I don't crop in software) including placement in the frame, spacing between objects (close but not overlapping) and distance of objects from the frame (nearly the same for all objects and all sides). The collection of three objects forms a "virtual" oblique triangle.

You have taught me to look for compositions such as these, rather than the "single flower bullseye". Thank you. But I'm just not yet seeing them/the opportunities, as wonderfully as you do!

I definitely agree, this "straight" version has all it needs to be compelling.
