It was late afternoon and the light was going thus making focusing (manual) a bit difficult. I was trying to focus on the flower's pistil (the white part at the right). The superiority of the D300's viewfinder as compared to the D70's is evidenced by the more accurate focus in the D300 images (plus my eyes not being what they used to be).
