5/26/07 - West Quoddy Head Light

En route to the Freeman Patterson workshop in New Brunswick. Drove along all of the small Maine coastal roads between Acadia and Lubec - always taking a turn off route 1 further toward the coast when available. Here is the end of the road literally. This light is on the eastern most piece of land in the continental U.S. About 5 feet further back & I'd have been further east than that last piece of land. Do you think that's why the fence was there?

This is great. The barber pole paint scheme is the way I remember lighthouses. Beautiful image. Coincidentally, I shot a couple of lighthouses in Florida, today. Vote
