Driving westwardly at sunrise looking for a photo op. Lots of ground fog so there's gotta' be something good up ahead there to shoot. Remembering the old adage to occasionally look behind, I did. Man - the rear view mirror was pure gold. Quick, find somewhere to pull off (like 1/2 mile down the road) before the sun gets much higher (by the time I got back the sun had risen enough to clear the hill at the left - would've been better 5 minutes sooner).
Here's a better version of this scene with the country road, fences, trees (including this one), mountains and sunrise. I chose the solo tree for this PAD mainly because of the color and not the better overall content that the "reject" has - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/78544196 - By the time that I got to this 2nd shot the mist had already started to lift. Narrow window of opportunity. Spent a lot of time climbing over barbed-wire fences last week.
