Taken about 30 minutes before sunrise (5 AM is awfully early to get up for a PAD) in Old Town Manassas. This is where the 12mm lens comes in handy. How about this B&W version? http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/65083636 (It has the proper orientation IMO).
I didn't change the sky's color; this is how it was captured. Actually here is the "BEFORE" image which is quite different from this processed version http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/65079856 . I shoot RAW & turn off everything like sharpening, contrast, saturation, etc. (or set it to the lowest possible setting) because I don't want the in-camera auto processing as decided by Nikon to be the final factor in how my image will look. Shooting RAW is a blessing; notice that in the "before" image the color is all off because White Balance was set to Auto (needed to be incandescent). Easy fix with RAW; difficult to impossible to correct properly is this were a jpeg out of the camera.
Took several others - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/65080125 & http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/65080128 & http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/65080130
