Month #26 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month)

It's now June 2006, and I'm beginning my 3rd consecutive year of taking & posting photos daily. The viewer's choice for the month was, as so often happens, totally different than my planned shoot for the day - wildlife. Here's what I wrote in 6/06 -

6/5/06 - Daisy Shoot Through
The soft pink foreground is from roses that are nearly touching the wide open lens. The daisy is about a foot beyond the roses. Most judges would toss this - too soft - but in my mind the softness is what it's all about; otherwise, it's just a daisy. I won the top Colored Print prize this year, but it was by entering stuff that appeals to judges and not images, like this one, that I like. No more; from now on it's what I like regardless of the outcome.

PS - June 2006 was the last time I competed in club competitions. Although I did exceedingly well, I needed to be true to myself - and not the judges.
