2/18/05 - Shenandoah Park Pine

Got an opportunity to see a major Ansel Adams exhibit while in Florida. Maybe that's what influenced me to do this image in black and white. Got to Shenandoah Park for the the first time in over a month between being in Florida and the park being closed (closed when there's snow due to the budget - thanks, George W.). And, wow! - we saw a mountain lion. I asked the rangers if they had been spotted in the park. Only "rumors". Check it out near mile post 26. Awesome creature. I'm glad that someone else saw it, too - else I'd think maybe I was seeing things.

Very nice - and just the right amount of noise too!

Works exceptionally well in mono.
