Month #3 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month)

7/04 - I'm three months into my 1st D-SLR and the best of the month still comes from my P&S. There's a good reason. I fell in love with IR at about this time and my only IR option was a screw in filter for the P&S. Several years later, when I upgraded to a new D-SLR, the original was converted to IR but not in 2004. Screw in IR filters made things difficult since they were opaque thus requiring exposure times of several seconds. This meant composing the shot (tripod, of course) before screwing in the filter (couldn't see through the viewfinder otherwise).

I came across this perfect IR day & scene. If I had it to do over again, now having wider angle lens options, the composition might be different - but I'll certainly take this one; it's one of my favorites.
