The Un-canoeness of Canoes

This was my assignment at the Freeman Patterson workshop. Given out before dinner one evening and had to be finished by lunch the following day. The only guidance was - do not shoot macros. Had to have between 15-20 images not counting the title. It rained off/on most of the time to add to the challenge. My goal was to not have any images that were immediately recognizable as canoes or parts of a canoe - to keep with my interpretation of "un-canoeness".
My main discomfort with my presentation is that it relied almost entirely on "mirror montages" - created by overlaying two copies of the same image where one is "flipped" in one of three possible directions. Positive "spin" - makes a presentation with "consistency".
