For some reason that I can't explain it seemed appropriate to include my light source in this image.
I used a small halogen gooseneck desk lamp
The background is simply a piece of posterboard
The cup and saucer are on a piece of smoke glass
Here is the image without the light source

Canon EOS 20D
1/60s f/2.8 at 100.0mm iso100 full exif

Now isn't that just cool. 4 cups for the price of one. Love how the blue from the glass gets around the back of the saucer at about the same radius as the light source. Big lessons in this photo. Great work!
