3-17-06 bubbles 5

I was doing a shoot to obtain some bubbles to participate in a little challenge with Bill Carpenter and Karen Leaf.
I set the glass and can of Molsons on a piece of smoke glass on the dining room table. The sun was shining in the window as I filled the glass. I had some great bubbles. I shot bubbles while the glass was full, then 3/4 full then 1/2 full, then 1/4 full. The beer was good but the images were only average.
About the time that my glass was about empty I suddenly saw the sun producing this nice glow through the beer and reflecting off of the can and onto the smoke glass. I took the shot and liked it. There are a few bubbles still in the glass.
I'm so glad that I got the shot. I was afraid that I would have to start all over!

I'm sorry I missed this bubble shoot/challenge. Have been busy enough to keep me out of it for 2 days. Looks good with it's golden reflections.

Turned out super Ed. The light through the amber liquid and bubbles looks great. Composed very well too.

This one is perfect. Of course, you could have opened another bottle and shot some more. :)

I find it very interesting that it took til almost the last gasp before things started to look good. Usually things start to go south real fast at that point of the experiment :)

Fabulous light it wouldn't have been nearly as good without just a bit of golden liquid left.

Great colors. You've got enough of the glass in there to let us know what it is without upsetting the composition.

Very nice, Ed. Excellent bubbles and wonderful light. Great concept and good execution.
And starting is over is why they created Auto-Focus. ;-)
