BTW, always press Control+J to copy a new layer. and work on the new layer, so that you can easier go back. Quick Mask is a great way to do this job as well.

Yes, you will need to zoom in quite a bit to do it.

Thanks. But I was so clumsy that I could not smooth the edges well. Do I have to magnify the picture first to make it easier to do with?

This was simply done with a black soft brush and a steady hand (and patience).
