Historic Workhorse-C47A N89HA s/n 43-15137, in it's 60+ years of service participated in the D-Day invasion of Normandy, was used in Operation Market Garden in the Allied invasion of Holland, was contracted for use by Jim Jones to transport his followers to Jonestown, and served as a jump plane for sport sky-divers, among many other uses. The plane was scrapped in 2006, but the nose section and cockpit is currently being restored to it's WW2 appearance. Had I known all this when I shot in in 1982, I probably would have taken more shots.
