We visited an abandoned cemetery in the middle of a wheat field.

The marker for an unknown departed seemed especially thought-provoking to me. One of the abandoned tombstones still stands while behind it cattle graze in the wheat field. A descendant walks around his long-gone ancestor's tombstone. The mesquite grow gnarly around the tombstones.
Grass and other flora, plus accumulation of soil with time will soon cover the cemetery. By far, the Parishes have the most loved ones here. A stone felled by cows. Grasses grow around the tombstones.
At one time, someone cared enough to offer protection to a departed loved one. t4%2f94%2f689794%2f4%2f91104749.8O53fYGT.jpg t4%2f94%2f689794%2f4%2f91104739.Wh45ulh4.jpg While we visited the cemetery, Clay's horses approached the truck.
