2006 has been another exciting year for overseas travel with visits to Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Oman and United Arab Emirates. I also managed to spend some time in Paris (France), which remains my favourite city, as well as squeeze in a couple of days in Amsterdam (Netherlands), too.
Almost all of the above will be work-related and my promise to reduce my overseas working hours from 16-18 hours to something more manageable has not been are met, which means I never got to see quite as much of the above countries as one would hope.
There were trips to Bangladesh in March (7th-12th) and July (24th-28th)but I never found occasion or inclination to take a picture. Partly because of my work schedule, limitations of movement dictated by the "apparent" risk to white westerners and, perhaps owing to the aforementioned, because I really didn't see anything that made me want to reach for the camera. I can think of 5 ways that you can interpret that comment so pick your own, whether it favours me or not. You, of course, may have had fared better; I hope my next visit will prove likewise.
There was also a trip to Dubai, UAE, in April for a few days immediately prior to Muscat, Oman, but my pictures came out a little more shakey than expected so aren't uploaded here (my fault not UAE's!). A trip to Pakistan in November also lacked photo opportunities.
