maybe it hasn't been a good year for them?

i've never seen a peacock butterfly. it's very vivid. great shot

Where I live NW UK there's quite a few butts. Sadly bees seems in decline. That Sigma seems to be doing well at 500mm. More DOF for the butterfly would be better - close up for a 500mm mean DOF shrinks to nowt. More suited to birdies farther off. Still, a good shot.
