July 7, 2009 - At 02:10hrs, City firefighters were dispatched to Union St for a building fire. crews arrived three minutes later and found fire shooting out the third floor. An aggressive fire attack was started and a search for all occupants was underway to ensure everyone got out safetly. A MAYDAY distress call was transmitted for a crew that was reportly trapped on the roof after the third floor flashed. All fireifghter were safely evacuated and accounted for. The fire was brought under control in about an hour. Crews from the city fire department, East Great Plains, Laurel Hill,and Mohegan Tribal FAST team were on scene.
