Photographs taken with the Panasonic Lumix LX-7. I purchased the LX-7 especially for a family trip to Sedona, AZ. I did not want to lug along a DSLR and lenses for this trip, because it seems that with a DSLR the trip then becomes all about the necessity of taking photographs, whereas with something more casual, the focus is more on relaxation and fun. Hopefully that makes sense. Also, the LX-7 is heavily discounted right now, down from the original $500 price tag.
For outdoor scenes I typically use a circular polarizer to remove reflections and saturate colors (the effectiveness depends on the angle of the sun, of course). Otherwise, I configured my LX-7 much as shown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWgZFZ9TSrs In terms of post-processing I use Noiseware where warranted, and then perhaps the Topaz Labs' Clarity filter from the Adjust pack in a reduced opacity duplicate layer (40-70%). Lastly, a minor tweak with a Levels adjustment layer to obtain deep blacks.
