Pictures from a visit to Portugal in June/July 2012. A couple of days in Lisbon followed by a week in the Azores, on the island of Sao Miguel. The Azores are Portuguese territory - a nine island archipelago rising above and from the North Atlantic's volcanic ridge. The landscapes reflect that dramatic geology. The people are warm too.
