Buitenzorg

It's a green huge garden inside city of Bogor, 60km south of main capital of Indonesia - Jakarta. In the old days it's one of the Dutch colonial retreat city with cool climates and villas, getting away from the busy "batavia" old names of Jakarta city. Today it's still the same lungs for Bogor, providing fresh oxygen for their citizen to breath on...

kebon raya bogor sekarang joroook gedung2 kecilnya ga kerawat, dan sampah berserakan dimana2 (padahal trashbins relatif mudah ditemukan lho... emang dasar pengunjungnya yang nakal)

Sangat indah, tapi akankah keindahan ini tetap ada dan bisa dinikmati? karena sekarang Kebun Raya sudah tak nyaman lagi. Mobil bisa masuk, mengganggu pejalan kaki. Polusi? jangan ditanya!!!!

I think your photos of Buitenzorg are great. My parents, grandparents, inlaws were all born there...I was born in Holland after those very tough times. What is the story of Endang Trate?

I get to see places I will never go through pictures on this site. Buitenzorg is beautiful, the beggar in Mumbai was so handsome and happy I would never have thought he was a beggar except for his clothes. The pics of Hong Kong were great. Thank you for showing what most of us will never get to see. You captured the countries beautifully!!!
