EDIT 01.09.2015:
Title changed from "Metallica" to Shining armor" to avoid confusion w/ the species Somatochlora metallica.

Stunning Eric, what a detail in this spieces which is very very seldom over here in the Netherlands.Every hair can be seen. Not to speak about the background.
I am jalous at this picture Eric, specially from this spieces.
This is the way I like to take pictures from damselflies.
In this way you are able to let see all the beauty which is in this insect.
This can not be seen when meeting this insect in the wild even hardly with the best binoculair there is.

Regards,
Joep

Beautiful shot. The light, composition and sharpness are perfect. This is one of the species that is very rare here in Denmark. I don't think it has been reported yet this year. v

Thanks "Guest" (who ever you are), for clearing the species up.
The title "Metallica" was chosen before I even knew there was a species called
Somatochlora metallica. Pure coincidence!
Later I've learned that, from this competent gallery:

Flott bilde, men litt lite kontrast. Muligens noe overeksponert.
