I've a spider who built a web across my front door. I've looked through all of the websites and have failed to identify her. Can I send you a picture?
Next, what is the best way to move her?
I found a spider on my table on my front porch this morning I've been through all the pictures of spiders you have on the site and it does not quite match any of them how do I send you a picture if you can possibly tell me what the spider was?
Just found a semi-docile, very small snake just inside our rear door. Actually, our little dog brought it to our attention. It was about 13-14" long, very thin, dark brownish in color with prominent white cross bands that increased to a triangle shape near the belly. We live 23 miles SW of Ocala, FL. Would like to send picture if I knew how. Can you give me any ideas as to what kind of snake this could be?
imgur.com/st9MvU0 I am really hoping you could venture a guess or a few as to that spider in imgur I uploaded. Having a 4 yr old is worrisome
imgur.com/st9MvU0 I greatly appreciate your vast collection of Spiders, Ive lived in Fl for 40 yrs.Having a 4yr old I would like to teach him about the more dangerous and spiders to avoid.
Absolutely wonderful photos of insects we've seen in Florida over the years, one being that green Cuban cockroach!!
Ques:how to send you photos of nighttime spider building web. It's orangish-red under flashlight
Daniel, may I have permission to use your image of the Florida Scarab beetle beside one of my Ocala Scarab
to show differences. I'm sending to Florida Native Plant Society, but do not know if the editor will accept it.
I will give credit. I've cropped your image and lightened it to show the striae by the scutellum. Linda

Thankyou for good pictures and names to go with them for some of Floridas occupants.
Saw a snake up in my palm tree. Looked like a yellow rat snake but the underside was black & white checkered
pattern. Is that a garden snake?
Thanks for your pics of the different snakes, it helped alot!
I have a very Beautiful Luna Moth in my yard tonight. 2 1/2 - 3" wingspan.
there was a black snake in my driveway and its been around for awhile (if its the same one) but it had what looked like a cape on it while it was looking around but when it left it looked like normal... what was this? i have never seen such a skinny snake... especially one with a batman cape...

Hi, I took a picture of this spider and was wondering what kind is it. What is a good email address I can send it too??
I'm a third generation floridian, and have seen almost all of the snakes you show, and they are beautiful. Thanks for a place to view them. My favorite is the Indigo snake, and I have seen one that I'm sure is larger than the accepted record size several years ago in my orange grove. Thanks again for all the info you provide.
can i send you a pic. of a snake that was in my yard ,,, i think its a bad one and im scared to death of them , your email ????
Wife found a Southern Ring Neck snake while raking leaves and got real excited but didn't want to kill it at least. we id'ed it from your site. Thanks. Great job on the snakes and spiders especially. Hope you continue to expand with the birds and reptiles.
I saw a snake in my backyard in the canal. How can I tell if it was a cottonmouth or a brown water snake?
Amazing phots Danny! You and your son both!
Love it all-educational and beautiful photos. Grew up with Billy Haast in the early 1970's at his father's Miami Serpentarium. Thanks!
Wonderful images throughout the various galleries and also admire your dedication to the little known Snake world, Daniel. Thanks for sharing your expertise, as well. Have you in my favs and will be back to visit. Jean
Theres a black snake that lives in my hedges somewhere. I am afraid of it. Everyone says it won't hurt me. What should I know about it? What should I do so it won't attack me when I walk by? Do they live in the ground in my hedges? Thanks for the information.
