I am an inveterate imager, forever cobbling togethr miscellaneous manufacturer's items to accomplish a desired function. To phrase the concept, I "imagineer:" imagine the concept, then engineer something to meet the expectation. Here are images of three of my homemade gimbal mount, my homemade car window mount (also uses the gimbal), and my portable blind for imaging birds in the garden. In April 2004, I changed imaging systems to the Nikon D70, for its AF capabilities. and buffering. I also added the blind imaged here for accesibility to camera/people shy birds.
