Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2011 - 24 April 2011.
This year we went creative: The "4x5 Box Pinhole", in which we used a mix of paper and film - Arista.EDU RC Paper, Grade #2 and Arista.EDU ULTRA, ISO 100 film. The film definitely was easier to work with and gave much faster exposures. The paper was flashed prior to use in an attempt to provide just about zero threshold for the exposures. In general, Ye Olde Photographer found working with paper to be pretty frustrating, the limited dynamic range makes exposures really critical, especially with the normal light fall-off of a wide angle of view.
Somewhat unusual, the day was blessed with relatively nice weather! We wandered with a short list of possible sites and actually found some unexpected subjects of interest.
The official WPPD submission should appear at this link.
