Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2008 -- 27 April 2008.

This year we have done a minor upgrade to the "SQ-Hole" -- call it Rev 2.1. The big change is a quasi-wireframe viewfinder, fabricated out of mat board and attached to a spare top body cover with double-sided foam tape. This will permit reasonably accurate aiming without swapping a lens with the pinhole lenscap assembly. (Now having two working bodies, we can swap cameras on the quick release tripod mount if any lens-based shots are desired.)

Given the dismal, murky weather and the substantially elevated price of petrol, we elected to visit some spots close to home. As luck would have it, the rail infrastructure surrounding the former Reading Railroad train station at Lansdale (central Montgomery County) PA provided enough opportunities. Lansdale is a minor hub on the R5 route of the SEPTA commuter rail system serving Philadelphia. The first row shows the camera and a couple of digital shots of the station area.

For each film, two exposures a stop or so apart were taken of each view. The first set was on Kodak Portra NC C-41 color negative film. The second set was on Fuji Neopan ACROS 100, processed at home. The negatives were scanned on an Epson Perfection 3200 for posting here.
