This is a small walled city north of Rome where the popes hung out during unrest in Rome centuries ago. We just had a quick tour but there were some fascinating old buildings. One such building was home to the school that our niece attended — how amazing to take an art history class in a building with coffered ceilings and frescoes on the walls. The first few shots were taken through the train windows on the way up from Rome.
