The Upper Hawksbill Trail leads to an observation lookout on the peak of Hawksbill Mountain, the highest point in the park at 4051 feet. We did this one on the 2012 Turkey Day weekend. The trail begins at a trailhead near milepost 47 and is a walk of moderate length and difficulty. The actual lookout is also accessible from another trail coming down from the north.
