At Riverfront Park and on the adjoining grounds of Montgomery Community College West Campus, in Pottstown, PA, we visited the 4th Annual Schuylkill River Festival. This is a free event sponsored by the Community College, the borough of Pottstown and the Schuylkill River Heritage Area groups.

Besides the typical food, arts and crafts found at such events, there were opportunities to try kayaking, learn to make a paddle and a number of artists demonstrating their work. There were also demonstrations of Native American and Mexican dance and performances of live music going on for most of the day. There was even good weather!

After the festival ended, there was the artists' reception for the Scenes of the Schuylkill River Heritage Area Art Show, a juried exhibition held in the North Hall Gallery, part of the MCCC West Campus to finish off the evening. Happily for him, the show included two pieces by Ye Olde Photographer.
