Sun and clouds bounced around, but this was still an enjoyable visit. This is "Skylands,"a former estate dating back to the late 19th Century. The current manor house was constructed in the 1920s and acquired by the state of New Jersey in 1966.
The property is huge and contains a number of walking trails. It would be fun to visit during various seasons of the year. The high altitude puts blooming a week or more behind the Philadelphia area. Current information may be found at the NJBG website.
