Ye Olde Photographer and his Faire Spouse did a mostly straight west to east transit through this state on I-80. We spent a night in Coralville, just off I-80 and north of Iowa City, then continued eastward. We did make a stop in Leclaire, at the east end of the state, east of Davenport on US 67. There, overlooking the Mississippi River, is a quilting supply place of note, Expressions in Threads, where My Faire Spouse stocked up on a few items.

From Leclaire we continued eastward across all of Illinois to Brownsville Indiana where we spent a couple of nights while visiting with family in that state.

Our drive across Iowa was part of the Grand Tour 2016, a 5800 mile drive through flyover country!
