Some gaudy late 18th century buildings from the heyday of the town. Pottstown once had significant steel, railroad, and rubber
tire industry. Alas, today much of that economic base is gone, but in the last ten years or so, the town has begun to perk
up a bit. A "West Campus" of Montgomery County Community College is now located here. The college recently opened a fine
arts facility, including a gallery, in a rehab'ed building from a manufacturing operation.
