Just to the left is the Reading/Lehigh Valley RR passenger station in South Bethlehem. The bridge structure is the "Hill-to-Hill"
bridge across the Lehigh River. The locomotive (mostly obscured in smoke and steam) is on a connector from the Reading Railroad
Bethlehem Branch which connected south to Philadelphia from here. The train is headed for a truss bridge just visible
through the arch on the right. The bridge connects to the Central Railroad of New Jersey tracks on the other
side of the river. These tracks travel(ed) the river valley to Allentown and beyond, eventually to Wilkesbarre.
