This camera was bought used in the early 1960s, originally to photo-reduce artwork for circuit boards and etched aluminum labels. Eventually Ye Olde Photographer was unable to resist doing some "real" photography with it. See also the 4x5 Oldies gallery.
There are two lens boards with a couple of lenses mounted in shutters, as well as a homemade lens board with a pinhole and flap shutter. The two lenses are a Kodak 152 mm f7.7 Anastigmat and a Kodak Ektar 127 mm f4.5. There was also an 88 mm lens used early on (which can be recognized by vignetting!)
In 2015, we added a series of photos showing the spring that tensions the clamp for the front standard after a B&J owner on APUG was looking for info after receiving a camera for which the spring had popped off. It seems to be under very little tension when the clamp levers are not squeezed, so one might suppose that could be a problem. (Might as well put 'em here in case someone else has a similar problem!)
