A Reading Railroad Iron Horse Ramble behind T-1 locomotives 2100 and 2102 on a round trip to West Milton, Pennsylvania. The trip originated in Bethlehem Pa. on October 14, 1962, timed for optimum viewing of the colored leaves.
These were taken on 35mm film with an Argus C-3. Extracting these images from the Kodachrome II slides has been difficult, they seem dark — not sure if it's age deterioration, exposure sins covered up in the past by a 500 watt projector, or limited dynamic range of the relatively cheap scanner. There also appears to be more vignetting than Ye Olde Photographer remembers — maybe cardboard mounts affecting the emulsion — enh, whatever!
More recently we added a scan of the flyer for this trip found whilst purging some file drawers.
