We had a visit from the Artstream Nomadic Gallery and two days of discussion and demonstration by three ceramic artists whose work is included in the gallery. Tara Wilson is a ceramic artist who has a studio in in Montana City, Montana. She has lectured and given workshops throughout the US and her wood-fired utilitarian work has been exhibited internationally. She is also a mountain biking enthusiast!
Tara demonstrated the creation of some of her functional pieces which typically are thrown, then substantially and creatively altered.
NOTE: Ye Olde Photographer missed the beginning of the Monday sessions due to a scheduling conflict so regrettably there is not much shown of creating the initial forms.
