A day in the life of a ranger. A tree was cut down at one of our local schools which unfortunatly housed 5 brushtail possums. Whilst the adults escaped to nearby trees, this young baby was separated from its mother and was too small to fend for itself, so its been taken into care by one of our local wildlife carers. A friend of mine and wildife surveyor Ray, installed two nest boxes in nearby trees to help house the now homeless adults. A few more will go up tomorrow.
