I just read at the ferrisfuneral.com website that Doris McClain passed in March, 2012 at an amazing 94 years. She and husband Ron were the first managers of this DQ after it was built only a couple of years prior to this photo. There's a great pic of the couple at the website. Best wishes and loving thoughts to the family.

Just an observation: I think that street sign says Queensway and "Hope" Street. Let us always remember that Hope is not, repeat NOT, a dead-end street. Could someone in town confirm that this is ,in fact,Hope street. Otherwise I am, however well-meaning, incorrect in observation, yet correct rhetorically.

How long were Ron and Doris there? They also ran the Manor Lodge motel,I believe,back in the 70's. Also,Robbie Kinnear would come in as Santa Claus back then too..
