These were the late 60's and early 70's. Many of us were making our own tie-dyed shirts,like this one, and I think Doug did as well. We sometimes did this in art class. Our art teacher, at that time, was Mr.Ross Bateman, a brilliant artist and caricaturist himself. We were fortunate to have him. He did great cartoonish renditions of many of us for our individual yearbooks - I still have mine. He was/is the younger brother of Canadian icon naturalist/painter Robert Bateman.
